St Mary the Theotokos

The Virgin St Mary, the Mother of God (Theotokos) was born in Nazareth to St Joachim and St Anne, following an angelic announcement that she would bring salvation to the world, leading to her mother’s vow for her to serve in the house of the Lord, thus marking the beginning of her role in the divine plan of redemption.
