St Dioscorus

St Dioscorus, the 25th Pope of Alexandria, was a 5th-century champion of orthodox Christology who defended the doctrine of the one incarnate nature of Christ at the Council of Ephesus and suffered exile after the Council of Chalcedon for his steadfastness in upholding the true faith.
